TLC To Reunite With Left Eye Hologram (Sort Of)

TLC’s Lisa ‘Left Eye’ Lopes was just thirty years of age when she died in a horrific car accident in Honduras. Exactly one decade later and TMZ reports that surviving band members Tionne ‘T-Boz’ Watkins and Rozonda ‘Chilli’ Thomas are planning a commemorative reunion tour which would see Lopes resurrected in hologram form – much like Tupac’s posthumous appearance at Coachella this year.

In lieu of a hologram proper (those things are expensive don’t you know?) the group intends to resurrect the singer by projecting her image on a big screen and working her vocals into the live performance .

“The word anniversary means a celebration,” T-Boz said in a statement. “For us her death will never be a celebration, it’s still something that hurts.” “Lisa is our sister,” added Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas. “We love her and we miss her and that isn’t going to change.”

This follows reports of an upcoming Jackson Five tour which would possibly see a Michael Jackson hologram reaching hologram notes that the others can’t. “Wouldn’t that be wonderful?” said his brother Jackie Jackson. “As a matter of fact, we had that idea two years ago for Michael’s Cirque du Soleil show”.

Hmmm.

Pour one out for Left Eye below…
