Tired Of Boutique Music Festivals? The Menu At This One Might Change Your Mind.

Just when you thought the Australian summer physically could not support another music festival, this one sidles into our life with the promise of gourmet picnic hampers. Called Lost Picnic the festival features an entirely Aussie line-up and – did we mention? – gourmet picnic hampers.

The artists playing at the Centennial Park venue: Megan Washington, The Rubens, Emma Louise, Dustin Tebbutt and Sons of the East. And now, for the food, they’ve teamed up with with foodgasm inducing chefs and restaurants to develop a crack squad of hampers for the picking/eating. Like:

The Rushcutters Hamper presented by Keystone with chef Martin Boetz: The hamper draws inspiration from Northern Europe with the majority of produce sourced directly from Boetz’s.

The Icebergs Hamper presented by Maurice Terzini: Tantalize your tastebuds with this food sensation from iconic Bondi restaurant, Icebergs and chef Maurice Terzini.

aw yiss motha fuckin gourmet hampers.

Simon Beckingham, Director of Lost Picnic, had this to say: “We’ve grown up organising successful dance events in Sydney and although this will always be a passion of ours, we have evolved and we want our events to evolve with us. Growing up in the UK festival scene, we know Sydney is looking for the next generation in music events. Lost Picnic is exactly that, a boutique-style event that not only supports local musical talent but local restaurants, to offer a completely different experience to the Sydney entertainment calendar.”

Lost Picnic is on the 23rd of March 2014 – first release tickets go on sale 15 January, 2014 – head to their website for more info.
