Oh man this guy. This guy right here. Love this guy. Wait, who the hell is this guy again?

is his name and he’s the latest performer to join the Australia’s Got Talent (Nine) judging panel, ridiculously ironic because “talent” (in the agent’s sense of the word) is clearly something we don’t got if the only Australian judge announced so far is some guy who two years ago was a third placed contestant on the very show he’ll be judging on.

Timomatic (real name Tim Omaji) is a Nigerian born double threat who competed in the fifth season of AGT back in 2011 and would later become our fun loving answer to Usher after releasing 3 x Platinum single “Set It Off” and performing at the 2012 Miss Universe pageant, where he is believed to have set it off on multiple occasions in a luxurious Las Vegas hotel room.

Now he’s on your television. Omaji joins previously announced imports Mel B and Dawn French to form a truly weird judging trio which we hope results in as many interactions as possible between Dawn French and Timomatic. It’s expected that OG Australia’s Got Talent overlord Kyle Sandilands will be announced as the final judge sometime later today.

Meanwhile at Mel B’s former homestead at rival Seven’s X Factor Australia, judge Guy Sebastian has confirmed rumours of his departure via Twitter.

“Hey guys I know there have been some articles about me not doing X
factor this year. I have LOVED my time on the show and can’t even tell U
how great it feels to have helped the likes of Reece, Johnny, Sammi etc
reach their dream,” he wrote.

“However, for a few months now I have felt I need to
get back to writing and being creative behind the scenes and making a
new album, not to mention this tour. Channel 7 & Fremantle have been
so good to me and I am so proud to have been part of a show that
genuinely nurtures talent. It wasn’t an easy decision and I’ll miss it
dearly. I’m excited to get back to the studio but also to embark on this
massive tour!! Can’t wait. Much Love.”

So long Guy Sebastian. You will be missed, as will your relaxed personality and beanies.
