Are Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly working on a Step Brothers rap album? Yes.
Confirmed by the film’s director Adam McKay, the duo ‘Huff ‘N Doback’ comprised of Brennan Huff and Dale Doback, will release their debut rap album, following their single “Boats ‘N Hoes,” brought to you by Prestige Worldwide.
While neither Ferrell nor Reilly have gone on the record to verify just yet, McKay this week Tweeted: “I wasn’t kidding about Step Bros rap album. And we just found out we have a crazy big time producer. Mos Def, you up for a guest flow?”
Jon Brion, who scored the music for Step Brothers (and also produced albums for the likes of Kanye West, Of Montreal, Spoon and Rufus Wainwright), but could he be the ‘crazy big time producer’? We’ll have to sit tight on that one.
