It might be winter right now, but preparations for summer fun are well underway. So start pressing your best sundress and hose off your golden boot, the 2014 edition of the much beloved Meredith Music Festival has launched with the first artist announcement and the opening of the annual frenzy that is the ticket ballot.
Aunty Meredith remains true to its non-commercial roots yet again in 2014, presenting a commercial sponsor-free, fully BYO, absolutely no dickheads festival for the 24th time.
The first cab off the lineup rank for this year is the much acclaimed War on Drugs, heading to Australia on the back of their absolutely superb third album Lost in the Dream, rated by many as the best album of the first half of 2014.
As usual, ticketing for Meredith is run exclusively through a balloting system, which is open as of today. Register for the ballot through Meredith’s website at www.mmf.com.au.
The 2014 Meredith Music Festival is being held on December 12, 13 and 14 this year, at the Meredith Supernatural Amphitheatre in Meredith, Victoria.
