There’s absolutely no shadow of a doubt in my mine that this era of social distancing is doing some weird shit to us all. All of us. Nobody is immune from the cabin fever. Not even shit-hot artists like Cub Sport, Vance Joy, G Flip, Ruel, Mallrat and Tkay Maidza. Yep, a video has emerged of all of them and a whole bunch more filming themselves singing ‘Untouched’. And mates, it’s absolute fucking chaos.
Seemingly spawned by Cubbies as a take on that ‘Imagine’ video from Gal Gadot the other day (week? who even knows anymore), a whole host of Aussie musos have filmed themselves belting out the national anthem for our very own, home grown hand-washing song. Because at this time we absolutely do need to remain untouched if we want to get on top of this bloody thing and slowly get life back to normal.
So if you’ve wanted to see what people like Kira Puru, Alex The Astronaut, Montaigne, San Cisco, Wafia, and literally half of the industry look like after a couple of weeks alone then hoo boy do I have a treat for you.
And I hate to be that guy but actually watch right to the very end because it is so very, very worth it.
How do I petition for Untouched to actually be our new national anthem because I love it so very dearly.
