The Smith Street Band’s New AUS Tour Is Massive & The Supports Are Ridic

It’s a hard slog for a band when you decide to go it alone. But full credit to ’em, The Smith Street Band are plowing down that highway with remarkable speed.
After splitting from their much beloved indie-label Poison City Records, the band launched their own imprint Pool House Records as the home of their brand new LP ‘More Scared of You That You Are of Me,’ which is due to arrive on shelves come April 7th.
In celebration of the safe arrival of the blessed LP, the band’s fourth studio album and first since 2014’s ‘Throw Me In The River,’ the cloche has been lifted on a gigantic capital city tour of Australia that’ll put the Melbourne four-piece in their biggest headlining shows to-date.
Taking in every major capital city (except Canberra and Darwin, soz pals), the Smithies will be treading the boards at venues like the Forum Theatre in Melbourne of the Enmore in Sydney, with tickets for the tour expected to move and move quickly.
What’s more, the tour features a stacked lineup of supports from home abroad. US heavy hitters Joyce Manor are being flown out, alongside fellow-American crooner Allison Weiss. Local legends the almighty Ceres are round out the incredibly stacked lineup.
Full dates for the tour are listed below. All tickets go on sale at 9am on Monday, March 6th from the band’s website.
