If you’re a stats nerd, Triple J told us earlier in the week that over 2,094,350 votes were cast by 298,851 voters. 54% of the songs included are from Aussie artists, and 26 of the artists were brand new to the Hottest 100. Plus, we were pretty bloody upbeat this year – average BPM was 123, compared to 121 in 2014, and 116 in 2013.
Oh,and we managed to avoid having any songs disqualified this year, due to a discernible lack of troll campaigns. Nice one, ‘Straya!
And a huge bloody congrats to all the artists featured, and our Hottest 100 winners for 2016, The Rubens.
