The Presets’ Kids Are Fans of Their Music

The Presets – now more likely to go home than go hard these days, because, you know, what would you do if your son was at home crying all alone on the bedroom floor cause he’s hungry? – admit that a lot has changed since releasing their sophomore album, Apocalypso, four years ago. The duo, Julian Hamilton (vocals) and Kim Moyes (drums), feel less engaged with modern dance music for example, and, more importantly, both have become fathers, something the pair tell us had little bearing on their songwriting process but a crucial impact on what they listened to in their cars: their own music.

Below, the band take some time before their headlining slot at Parklife to discuss the extent of their kids’ Presets fandom, writing songs about their hometown and why you should never do anything serious in front of Rusko.
