The One And Only Grace Jones Is Performing In Sydney For Vivid

Grace Jones will perform during Modulations at Carriageworks as part of Vivid Sydney later this year. 

Jones will stage two exclusive, intimate performances as part of the festival, on May 31st and June 1st. 
The iconic singer of ‘Slave To The Rhythym‘ and ‘Pull Up To The Bumper’ is touted as a perfect fit for the Modulations exhibition, which melds art, music and food to celebrate contemporary art in all its different forms. Modulations Creative Director Stephen Pavlovic believes Jones’ performance is not to be missed, saying, 
“Grace Jones at Modulations will be a rare opportunity to experience a true music legend in the intimate and immersive spaces at Carriageworks. A truly iconic singer, songwriter, model, actor and all round enigma. Her live sets are duly renowned as nothing short of incredible, segueing from disco to funk, from pop to punk, all presented within a visual spectacular as stunning as the musical artistry. Grace’s performance promises to be unmissable.

The Modulations program expands across two weekends, with a performances by Pharoah Sanders (5th June), a keynote address by Bill Drummond (6th June), and a dance party hosted by Pelvis, Kooki and Motorik (7th of June). 
The Modulations food element kicks in with the Italo Dining and Disco Club: Icebergs Dining Room & Bar, Da Orazio Pizza + Porchetta, Fratelli Paradiso and 10williamst will all come together to present a weekend of Italian food, wine and disco. Italo Dining and Disco Club will be held on Sunday 31 May – Tuesday 2nd, and Friday 5th – Sunday 7th of June, from 5pm til late each night.
