The Grates, who we can now assume have been shitting where they sleep for a sufficient amount of time to discover if they want to spend the rest of their lives together, are getting married in Brisbane this weekend. Founding members John Patterson and Patience Hodgson (pictured above with not an iota of sexual tension between them) have been dating in secret for seven years and will tie the knot this Saturday at the cafe they co-own in Brisbane, the Southside Tea Room.
The impending husband-and-wife-bandmate-business-partners delivered the news on Facebook, saying: “Southside Tea Room will be closed this Saturday morn & arvo –
opening 5pm with usual bar trading as John & Patience are getting
married – thank you for your understanding.”
