The Entire Wu-Tang Clan Appeared On The Daily Show And Unveiled A New Song

Nope. You’re not suffering from serious delirium. You did, in fact, read that right. The Daily Show with Jon Stewart served as the launching pad for the entire Wu-Tang Clan‘s first collective appearance as a complete unit in god only knows how long, as well as the show on which the group finally began lifting the curtain on their first studio album in nearly seven years.

To kickstart the impending November release of the new album, A Better Tomorrow, the entire clan – yes, we’re talking the RZA, the GZA, Inspectah Deck, Raekwon the Chef, U-God, Ghostface Killah, the Method Man and even Cappadonna (with the dearly departed Ol’ Dirty Bastard making an appearance via a t-shirt) – appeared in studio with Stewart in brief interview about the new album, before launching into a brand spanking new track. And an absolutely shithot track at that.

Whilst the performance of itself might have been a little shaky (the recorded vocal track was played underneath live vocals as something of a safety net – a luxury that Raekwon needed to take full advantage of) there’s no denying that the song itself – entitled Ron O’Neal – appears to be a bit of a ball-tearer.
Closing out the show in Stewart’s moment of zen, the Clan returned to rip through a shortened version of the classic “Triumph“.
Now, and forever, Wu-Tang Clan is for the children.
