The ARIAs Crowd Lost Their Shit When Johnny Farnham Sang ‘You’re The Voice’

Amon all the turmoil, there is one shining constant in Australian life: the anthemic strains of You’re The Voice by John Farnham – a heroic paean to… I’m not really sure exactly. But jeez it sounds bloody good when Farnsey is belting it out like it’s still 1986 and he’s at the top of the UK charts.

In the midst of an unusually political ARIAs, organisers knew that amongst all the tributes to gay marriage, LGBTQ empowerment and smashing the lockout laws, the punters were still looking for one thing: John Farnham. And they delivered.
Good to know there’s still something that gets the collective blood flowing in the music industry.
