The 2017 Grammy Nominees Have Been Announced & Yep, Beyoncé Dominates

The nominations for the 59th Grammy Awards have just gone down, in preparation for the music’s biggest event that’ll happen on February 12th next year.
Meaghan Trainor (last year’s Best New Artist) announced the nominees live on CBS in the US, and the nom board looks just how you might expect it to.
Beyoncé absolutely cleaned out the bloody place with a whopping 9 nominations, and Drake and Rihanna both nabbed 8. Kanye West‘s also up there with 8 nominations, but will surely be unhappy that ‘The Life of Pablo’ is noticeably absent from Album of the Year. Adele‘s shortly behind with 5, and Justin Bieber pulls up at 4.
A small handful of Aussies also killed the Grammy nomination board – Sia‘s up for Best Pop Vocal Album, Best Pop Group Performance (for ‘Cheap Thrills‘ with Sean Paul), AND Best Song written for Visual Media, for her contribution to the track ‘Try Everything’ in Zootopia
Local boy Flume is also up for Best Dance Recording (‘Never Be Like You’, obvi), and Best Dance/Electronic Album. Keith Urban‘s up for Best Country Performance, Song, and Album. HUGE.
