While she spends most of her time cranking out ruthlessly efficient country pop hits or appearing preternaturally poised on red carpets, Taylor Swift sometimes likes to pretend that she is “human” and “fallible” and “capable of messing up from time to time”. Case in point, this high school photo, which she showed to a journalist during a recent Teen Vogue interview:
Seriously, though, leave it to Taylor Swift to have a high school picture so awkward – those goddamn cornrows – that it actually transcends all known forms of awkward and attains a heretofore unknown level of perfection. We are all human garbage compared with Taylor Swift, and should hang our heads in shame.
