Taylor Swift’s ‘1989’ Is The Fastest Selling Album In The Last Decade

Hats off to Tay-Tay: her album ‘1989‘ just became the fastest selling album in the last decade.

It took 36 weeks, a girl squad crime fighting video clip, a failed campaign to get T-Swift in the Hottest 100, and a headline generating takedown of Apple to sell a whopping 5 million copies.

As the NT Attorney-General would inexplicably say during a parliamentary sitting: “Haters gonna hate, hate, hate, hate, hate.”

‘1989’ swiped first place from Adele’s album ‘21‘, which took 42 weeks to hit the five mil mark. It’s also on track to outsell the album’s 11.1 million copies.

Usher’s 2004 monster success ‘Confessions‘ album still holds the crown, however, for breaking five mill in just 19 weeks.
