A new pop era has begun. Taylor Swift, chart juggernaut and cultural touchstone, has revealed her new record Lover will appear worldwide on August 23. Taking to social media to break the news, Swift revealed the record’s cover: a dreamy, rainbow-tinged vision from Valheria Rocha.
Have a gander, and if you are that way persuaded, dig into it for clues:
Lover, album out August 23. Cover shot by the artistic genius that is @valheria123 ???? Pre-add, pre-save, pre-order (all the pre stuff you feel like doing) Can’t wait for you to hear this. https://t.co/SGjcCUYZdM pic.twitter.com/IPy54raQUF— Taylor Swift (@taylorswift13) June 13, 2019
The muso will also premiere new single You Need To Calm Down at midnight tonight over in the US, meaning Australians can get around it around 5pm. The music video will premiere on Monday.
Swift took to Instagram Live to break that news to fans, along with some other tidbits and numerological facts about the record and its themes.
Lover will boast 18 tracks, which presumably includes the hyper-coloured single ME! with Panic! At The Disco frontman Brendon Urie.
Prepare yourself for another solid year of Taylor, folks.
