Sum 41 are coming Down Under next month to perform an exclusive gig at Download Festival kick-off show in Sydney, Australia and our black emo hearts are on fiyah.

The Canadian rock and skate-punk legends, who no doubt soundtracked your angsty teen years, will perform at Sydney’s Crowbar on Friday March 8, joined by special guests Eat Your Heart Out.

The band confirmed the news via their official Twitter page, writing:

Sydney, join us at the official kick-off party on Fri March 8 at with ! Tickets go on sale Wed Feb 20 at 12 pm and will be available to ticket holders only.

The band currently consists of Deryck Whibley, Dave Baksh, Jason McCaslin, Tom Thacker and Frank Zummo (who took out the award for Best Drummer at the Alternative Press Music Awards in 2017).

Their last album 13 Voices was released in 2016 and they most recently embarked on their Does This Look Infected?: 15th Anniversary Tour last year.

‘In Too Deep’, ‘Over My Head (Better Off Dead)’, ‘Pieces’ and ‘With Me’ are just a few of their best known songs.
