Stream The National, The Cure, Vampire Weekend Live From Lollapalooza

In the heady, bitter hangover of last weekend’s Splendour In The Grass, festival-pining, musically depraved souls can live vicariously and stream the stellar Lollapalooza festival right now from Chicago.

The festival line up is so brimming with talent, it borders on sickening, cruel; luckily you can get the festival experience without the ~festival experience~. Sure, hoist yourself up on to your boyfriend’s shoulders so you can get a better view of the acts across the world playing on your computer screen if that’s your vibe, if not: abandon the worst thing about festivals—jerks, heat and lack of personal space—and watch a festival pass before you in the ravishing, alluring comfort that is sans pants.
The Cure, Mumford & Sons, The Killers and Nine Inch Nails lead a line up populated by equally enviable acts: Kendrick Lamar, Hot Chip, Lana Del Rey, Cat Power, Grizzly Bear, Major Lazer and like a million fucking more follow in a line up that may well induce dizziness, questions of ‘is this real life’, etc.
The live webcast for the final two days of the festival are as follows, shown in Chicago Time (15 hours behind AEST). You’re likely to miss Alt J and Two Door Cinema Club unless rising early on a Monday is your thang; take comfort in the fact that you can ease in to the week by watching Steve Aoki, Vampire Weekend and The Cure at your desk.
