More and more Darwin is proving to be one of the major hubs for producing bad ass Australian pop music and has been criminally under acknowledged in this regard. Fortunately, prolific hip hop and beats label Elefant Traks was well aware of the Northern Territory’s talent pool, in particular Darwin-based electro-soul duo Sietta who signed to the label early this year.
Sietta is made up of producer/instrumentalist James Mangohig and vocalist Caiti Baker who, together, perform an ambitious mix of electronic/hip hop/dub beats and production under the blues-drenched timbre of Baker’s gorgeous voice.
