‘Straya’s First Cruise Ship Festival Axed, Because Munted People & Water

Another day, another cancelled music festival.

Just weeks after Soulfest was cancelled due to poor ticket sales, Australia‘s first ever cruise ship festival Sea ‘N Beats is pulling the plug, citing reasons like “it’s on a boat” and “that boat is out to sea”.

In an announcement on Facebook, they said:

Australia’s first cruise ship Festival, Sea ‘N Beats, announces with regret the cancellation of their March 5-8, 2016…

“The risk factors surrounding the event were eventually assessed by all parties involved as too great to continue,” they elaborated further on their website. “Whilst every potential avenue to save Sea ‘N Beats was exhausted, ultimately we have been left with no option but to cancel.”

It’s looking like this will be it, folks. No replacement festival, and no other cruise festivals going ahead any time soon.

The now up-for-grabs line-up included Alison Wonderland, Peking Duk, Safia, Tkay Maidza, Kite String Tangle, Hayden James, Allday, Hot Dub Time Machine and more, with tickets for a bed in a four-person cabin starting from $960.

All attendees have been emailed about getting their full refund (for more help with that go HERE), although unfortunately for anyone who booked extra travel / accommodation to get there, they won’t be getting their money back. Maybe just take the trip anyway? Sorry mates 🙁

RIP, chewing your face off on the top deck.

Our top deck is looking pretty damn good this afternoon! Who els is keen to create memories with Australia’s favourite dance artists here ? More info -> www.seanbeats.com.au
