Grime Lord Stormzy Is Gracing Our Shores With An Australia-Wide Tour In 2020

It’s been a hot minute since Stormzy graced our shores, at the 2017 Splendour in the Grass festival.

In that time he’s headlined Glastonbury (becoming the first British rapper and first black British solo artist to do so, to RAVE reviews), been called a “next generation leader” by Time Magazine in a cover interview, called out Theresa May on stage at the Brit Awards, and been named GQ’s Solo Artist of the Year.

Oh, and he’s also recorded a sophomore album, Heavy Is The Head, and produced the whole thing himself. It’s out in December. On top of that, he’s encouraging UK citizens to register to vote and backing Jeremy Corbyn in the election, so you could say he’s been busy.

Now, Stormzy is touring Australia in 2020, hitting up Perth, Sydney, Adelaide, Melbourne and Brisbane in May.

Tickets go on sale next Friday at 9am AEST, available from HandsomeTours. This isn’t one to sleep on – tickets are likely to go fast.

Stormzy Australian tour dates below:

Wednesday 6 May – HBF Stadium, Perth
Saturday 9 May – Hordern Pavilion, Sydney
Wednesday 13 May – AEC Theatre, Adelaide
Thursday 14 May – Melbourne Arena, Melbourne
Saturday 16 May – Riverstage, Brisbane

His new album includes additional vocals from Ed Sheeran, Headie One, Aitch, Burna Boy, H.E.R., Tiana Major9 and YEBBA, and is out December 13.
