Splendour In The Grass organisers can officially put the underwhelming ticket sales of 2011 behind them, because the 2012 festival is officially a sell out, with all tickets snapped up in under an hour. Who knows what made the difference this year? Maybe it was the festival’s promise to drop the big fancy headliners and instead opt for the diverse, inspired lineup of artists that they’ve pulled out this year. Or perhaps it is the return to Byron Bay that sealed the deal for the long time Splendour punters?
