Splendour In The Grass 2013 Street Style: Hair Meet Wardrobe

TONI&GUY =”http:>’Hair Meet Wardrobe’ and Pedestrian have teamed up for a series dedicated to showcasing that sweet synergy between fashion and follicles that when combined makes for killer style. The short of it is “here are some babes we are digging on, get a load of their great hair and great fashion!” Recently we got our perv on in the Sydney streets and at California desert fest Coachella. This time ’round we were festival bound yet again, hitting the benevolent mud pits of Splendour In The Grass to examine how all the girls are putting it all together to fit into four categories where hair and wardrobe collide: Classic, Glamour, Creative and Casual.

CREATIVE

We’re vibing hard on this little pixie’s outstanding tangerine hue, the likes of which hasn’t been seen since Kate Winslet in Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind. The bold colouring is paired with a directional blunt microfringe, and shawty’s pulls it together with animal print ’50s frames, a Metal-worthy t-shirt, and popping blue lips.

Boho babe’s having the time of her life in a kaleidoscopic rainbow of religious iconography and accessorising straight out of a Woodstock. The distinctive pink-dipped balayage that you see below was unseasonably popular at Splendour this year, it looks pretty winning on this chick’s long beachy waves, a look you too can achieve with a little help from this awesome stuff.

CASUAL
There’s nothing more casual than flaking on pants. Who needs ’em? Not this serene cutie, who donned double denim, sick shades and a solo braid with the kind of effortless loose locks you can achieve with a spritz of this.

You got to love messy blonde bangs, a slouchy tee and printed cotton dungarees. This whole look epitomises the three Cs: comfortable, congenial and chill.

This laidback customer pares back the glam in printed shorts and sleeveless cotton tee – the casualwear of champions – leaving her ombre hair to make an impact. She styled it simply with a centre part, loads of shine and some natural texture around the tips.

CLASSIC
This is how you keep it classic: long chestnut tresses with straight bangs that’ll never date, a navy polo and denim shorts, topped off with pops of red. Ladylike but boyish with that glossy mane – a shine you can replicate with a little bit of this good gear.

You can’t get more classic than a good old fashioned blouse. Miss Thang in the photo has spruced up her classic button-up with a fun floral print and oversized aviator shades, complemented by her effortless ‘do in lightly textured waves.

GLAMOUR
This madcap redhead slipped into a slinky black onesie and pimped it out with orange accents including multiple strands of beads around her neck, half a chicken on that beach-chic turban and her locks which have been given the curling iron treatment and probably finished with a little something something for frizz control.

How can you not love a diminutive platinum blonde Ten in chic vintage fur? That’s about as glamourous as Splendour can get.
