Spilt Milk is known for curating lineups only dreams are made of and this year was no exception.
The 2019 bill included international favourites, Khalid, CHVRCHES, Juice WLRD and Bene as well as local legends Psychedelic Porn Crumpets, Confidence Man, G Flip, Dunies, Tones And I and more.
This year is the first year Spilt has added a second weekend to its schedule. The festival returned home to Canberra on November 23 and welcomes a new crowd in Ballarat this weekend.
Bene kicked off the festival in the nation’s capital with her Kiwi charm. Middle Kid’s Hannah Joy, who is seven months pregnant, played like it was NBD. Confidence Man’s chemistry had the crowd going crazy. CHVRCHE’S Lauren Mayberry frolicked on stage like the IRL angel she is. Khalid and his small army of the smoothest backup dancers left everyone on an absolute high, sufficiently reminding us we’re all uncoordinated plebs.
We couldn’t bloody keep up.
