Spice Girls’ Manager Confirms An Animated Movie Is Officially In The Works

Spice Girls

Well pals, it’s actually happening. Simon Fuller, manager of the Spice Girls has confirmed the girl group will be starring in their very own animated movie.

The animated flick is the latest exciting news to come from the group. Last November, the icons finally confirmed they would be reuniting for a fabulous tour in the United Kingdom – minus Posh Spice (Victoria Beckham) – come June 2019.

Speaking to Billboard about the upcoming tour, Fuller also teased some other future plans.

“What’s coming next is that we are going to be doing lots of exciting things. We’ll be making an animated movie and there’s lots of exciting plans to come,” he said.

Though he didn’t drop any specifics about the film, there have been some details floating around the internet.

In March of last year, insiders told Variety that fans should gear up for an animated superhero flick. The source told the publication that all five group members are involved in the project and will voice a character inspired by their personality – that’s Posh Spice (Victoria Beckham), Ginger Spice (Geri Halliwell), Scary Spice (Melanie Brown), Baby Spice (Emma Bunton), and Sporty Spice (Melanie Chisholm) inspiring a whole new generation of girls.

But that’s not all, each character will also have a unique “girl power” that reflects their chosen member’s personality.

Following the tour announcement, Posh shared her support for the girls on Instagram and wished them “so much love and fun” on tour.

Sure, it sucks Posh won’t be touring but who knows, maybe she’ll make a guest appearance one night. Just imagine social media if she does.
