Soundwave Revolution has been cancelled. Luckily, most of your cravings for punk, metal and hardcore will be satiated by “multi band/mini festival line-ups” heading to Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne, according to festival organisers.
New Zealand website Stuff reported that organisers were blaming a last second pull-out of an un-named, unannounced, headlining act for the event’s downfall.
What a damn shame. Surely there were already enough headliners in place to satisfy even the pickiest of ticket holders – the original Van Halen lineup, for example; not to mention Alice Cooper, Hole, Sisters Of Mercy, Danzig, Bad Religion, Machine Head, and virtually anyone else you creamed over circa 1993-2001. Que sera sera.
