A Twitter Account Got Suspended For Hanging Very Mild Shit On Taylor Swift

Twitter’s community moderation system is ahhh… let’s say, less than perfect. While it’s seemingly powerless to go after the torrent of abuse repeatedly targeted at random individuals, it curiously manages to swiftly (lol) bring the banhammer down on reasonably innocuous content that draws the ire of a rabid fanbase, all of whom smash that report button wantonly.

An account from an anonymous user was suspended permanently after she posted a fairly innocent shot at Taylor Swift, commenting on the singer’s well-documented propensity to air lyrical dirty laundry.

The tweet-in-question looks a little something like this:

Despite the tweet, for all intents and purposes, being not actually that bad, this now happens when you attempt to visit @themoodforluv.

Ban. Hammered.

Even weirder, the unidentified Tweeter-in-question was still able to see that the OG post was still accruing likes and RTs thanks to an alt-account.

They even pointed out the fact that the abuse received from aggrieved Swift fans far out-stripped the content of the dastardly post.
