Claire’s second solo show ‘Connected’ is an honest and raw questioning of communication and connection in today’s society. The portraiture based exhibition looks at not only Claire’s exploration of current social issues but also investigating painting techniques such as negative space & colour.
Claire switches it up between acrylic on canvas or pencil and ink on paper she finds inspiration in the observation of people and the way we interpret, judge, understand and sometimes misunderstand emotions. Her dramatic and often melancholic imagery can’t help but ignite an emotional response with the viewer who is forced to reflect on their own relationships within their digital context.
