So Frenchy So Chic’s All-Female Line-Up Is Here So Dust Off Your Beret

So Frenchy So Chic have revealed their all-lady all-the-time line-up today, which should set you up with some c‘est magnifique sunny summer listening.

The bill – specially crafted for all you striped-shirt, loose-but-fitted-trouser-wearing Francophiles –  really starts and ends with Camille, the one-time Nouvelle Vague singer whose 2006 Hottest 100 hit ‘Ta Douleur‘ almost definitely included blowing raspberries as a sound effect. The woman can make unconventional sounds into beautiful music, using her body as an instrument, and she’ll definitely be giving the crowd all her joie de vivre.

The 40-year-old singer-songwriter is joined at So Frenchy So Chic by the super-fun dance-pop of Yelle, the powerhouse electro of former La Femme member Clara Luciani and Cléa Vincent’s smooth jazz-pop, transporting ya about as close to the French countryside in the thick of summer as you’re gonna get without forking out almost a grand on return flights. This way, you don’t even have to leave the city, or learn a series of French phrases, like “Une bière s’il vous plaît?” (this is all the French we know).

The vibrant music line-up is complemented by plenty of champers, French beer, Provence rosé and a classy glass of red or white from Bordeaux, plus a hell of a lot of French cuisine, like mussels, oysters, macarons and crêpes, and can somebody please get me some of that now, I’m very hungry.

So Frenchy So Chic’s strong as hell all-women pop line-up is set to sweetly serenade y’all January 2019 in Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney. Tickets are on sale now.
