According to Tasmanian newspaper The Examiner, Sneaky Sound System’s 36 year old “lighting design technician” Jamie Centofanti will serve five months in a Tasmanian jail after he was caught with $6000 worth of cocaine in February.
Centofanti, who told police that he was only aware of a single gram in his pocket, was apprehended with a total of 17.7 grams of cocaine in 23 separate one-gram packages after a sniffer dog “gave a positive reaction” inside Launceston airport. Centofanti was due to work at Tasmanian music festival MS Fest where Sneaky Sound System were headlining.
Centofanti admitted to being “a long-term high-level user of cocaine” telling the court that he did not intend to sell any of the 23 one gram packages. Unfortunately for Centofanti, the jury did not believe him, returning a unanimous guilty verdict to one count of drug trafficking. Life. How bad is life?
