Skrillex Withdraws Dog Blood Side Project From Stereosonic Line-Up

Following the lead of the high profile withdrawal methods executed over the weekend by Big Day Out headliners Blur, ya boi Skrilly has also withdrawn his side project with Boys Noize, Dog Blood, from the duo’s Stereosonic debut next month.

According to a post on his Facebook page, Skrilly’s withdrawal of his signature brand of Womp Womp was due to unfortunate circumstances beyond his control:
“Due to unfortunate circumstances that are beyond my control, I won’t be able to make the Dog Blood Stereosonic dates this year. For the record, I love the Stereosonic team and the One Love crew who puts on these events and this has nothing to do with them on their side. I will be spending the rest of this year finishing my new music but will be coming back to do some SKRILLEX shows over New Year’s Eve in a couple weeks and will be spending more time in OZ in ’14. Thanks and really looking forward to seeing you guys soon.

According to triple j, GTA have been called in to replace Dog Blood on the bill and Sonny will still be appearing at Shore Thing in Sydney on New Year’s Eve.
In related news, we have a double-pass to give away for Stereo in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth and Brisbane, thanks to V Energy. The bill – sans Skrillex – celebrating the fifth anniversary of the festival features headliners Calvin Harris, David Guetta and Empire Of The Sun
