Daniel Johns, the Silverchair front man who recently kicked off a solo career, was taken to hospital with head injuries overnight, after a fall outside a bar in Sydney.
Per reports in 9 News, the singer and his girlfriend, fashion blogger Estelita Huijer, were drinking with friends at bar Low 302 in Surry Hills when the incident occurred.
At around 10.15pm, paramedics responded to a call involving an “intoxicated man” who had fallen on the ground. Reports say that Johns was “bleeding from the head”, and was put in a neck brace and loaded into an ambulance.
Huijer reportedly cursed at media from the front seat of the ambulance as he was driven away. Johns himself was taken to St Vincent’s hospital, and he was released earlier this morning.
Earlier in the night, Huijer posted a photo of the pair, now deleted, to Instagram.
In February of this year, Johns was disqualified from driving for three months, after pleading guilty to mid-range drink driving, following an incident in which he blew a reading of 0.126 after being pulled up near his Newcastle home.
