Sia Doesn’t Like Dub Step, Cypress Hill Does And Other Things We Learned From Rusko

Things we learned while chatting to dubstep producer and pop savant Rusko at Sydney Good Vibrations last weekend…

– The vocal on Rusko’s O.M.G. cut “Hold On” (performed by angel-voiced Dirty Projector Amber Coffman) was actually written by Aussie face paint enthusiast Sia. Sia wrote then recorded the vocals but pulled out two months prior to the album’s release due to umm…stylistic clashes? She was nice enough to let Rusko use the part anyway.

– Rusko recently reached out to Dutch trance relic Ferry Corsten and is currently planning a dubstep/trance collaboration.

– Rusko is halfway through finishing a collaborative album with Cypress Hill’s B-Real and Sen Dog under the banner “Cypress Hill Vs. Rusko”. They’re four tracks deep into a planned eight track LP.

– He’s obviously very busy.
