See The Complete Lana Del Rey x H&M Lookbook

The preview image for Lana Del Rey’sL.A. Noir‘ collection first surfaced two months ago, and today the gargantuan Swedish retailer have revealed the fashion savvy singer’s first Fall 2012 campaign and lookbook. Surprisingly bereft of both blue jeans and white shirts, the collection features some classic Onassis herringbone pieces, your standard high street fur-lined parka, the ubiquitous peplum and mixed heavy knit sweater, and a pretty/striking paint-splattered print.

Shot by fashion image-making power couple Inez Van Lamsweerde & Vinoodh Matadin, the ads will hit stores in October and probably won’t land in time for H&M’s Australian debut; but at the rate these things are popping up these days, you never know – you could be wearing lanolin del Rey by Christmas. Along with the campaign, Lizzie G also recorded a cover of Bobby Vinton’s Lynchian classic ‘Blue Velvet‘ and a suitably H&M-styled music video shot by Johan Renck will premiere in September.

Renck has directed episodes of Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead and music videos for Kylie, Madonna, Fever Ray and Bat for Lashes, so despite the impediment of her taloned fingers present, it looks like Lana has finally landed herself in good hands.
