Upcoming YA blockbuster and potential Hunger Games competitor The Giver looks classy as balls, with a cast that includes Jeff Bridges, Alexander Skarsgård and Meryl Goddamn Streep, as well as young Aussie Brenton Thwaites, in his biggest role to date.
Country pop singer and perfect human being Taylor Swift also appears in the film, as some sort of piano-playing hologram. Not having read the book (or books, because there’s always more than one, right?) that’s about all the context that I can provide.
