Security Guard Trampled by Gatecrashers at Sydney Music Festival

As your grade two teacher said, there are always a few bad apples who have to ruin it for everyone else. Such was the case at the Listen Out festival in Sydney yesterday, when a group of gatecrashers charged in and injured a security guard.
The Sydney Morning Herald report that yesterday around 4.40pm, a “large group of people” – who couldn’t get tickets or were possibly just dicks – attempted the tried and true method of breaking into the festival venue through a fence.
A 29-year-old security guard responded to the influx of people when, allegedly, he fell and “a person landed heavily on his abdomen”. He stood and walked a short distance to a stage before collapsing.
The guard was taken to St. Vincent’s hospital, where he was treated for internal bleeding and a ruptured spleen, and as of this morning, he is reportedly in stable condition.
Police are looking to have some words with a man described as being “in his late teens or early 20s, with a solid build, and short dark brown hair”. The loose unit in question was last seen wearing a grey t-shirt and red shorts.
