The internet may be closing in on an answer to the question of who the hell bit Beyoncé‘s face, with actress Sanaa Lathan being named as the prime suspect after a number of “sources” confirmed the news to Page Six.
The kerfuffle started when Tiffany Haddish let slip that she had seen “an actress” bite Bey on the face at an event, and after scouring her Instagram posts, internet sleuths figured out that the shindig in question was most likely the after-part for a Jay-Z show last December.
Though Lathan has denied any involvement, Page Six’s “sources” claim to have seen the Love And Basketball star talking to Jay-Z at the VIP party, and say that when Bey stepped in to the conversation, that Lathan “playfully bit her on the chin.”
One anonymous guest said that the moment caused quite a stir, telling the publication: “It was a big thing in the moment at the party, everyone was talking about how anyone would dare to do that.”

Sanaa Lathan took to Twitter earlier this week to say: “Y’all are funny. Under no circumstance did I bite Beyoncé and if I did it would be a love bite.” The Beyhive seems to have made up its mind, however, and fans have been filling her Instagram comments up with bee emojis for several days.
Haddish is the only person who seems certain to know the biter’s true identity, but she recently said that she is bound by an NDA, and therefore could not tell, even if she wanted to. Reps for both Lathan and Beyoncé have remained silent on the issue.
