Sam Smith seems to have been quiet for a couple of years. That’s weird, as his voice is an absolute treasure, but the impending release of his sophomore record The Thrill Of It All has the fella speaking out.
His latest pronouncement: a swish one-off gig at the Sydney Opera House next year, where he’ll get to bust out those mellifluous vocal runs once more.
Taking to Twitter, the Brit revealed he’ll return to Australian shores for a gig on January 16 at our most legendary venue.

It’s yet to be seen if this presages a national tour, but hell, his debut In The Lonely Hour hit #1 on our charts during his last visit. So.
Tickets can be had from Frontier Touring from midday, October 16.
