‘Sad Affleck’ Has Made Simon & Garfunkel’s ‘Sound Of Silence’ A Hit Again

If you went to go to see Zack Snyder‘s ‘Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice’ in cinemas, well… we’re sorry.

But we’re not sorry for what the film has created. Purely because the movie got such terrible reviews, one of the greatest pieces of ~content~ ever to be seen by human eyes was lovingly created: ‘Sad Affleck’.
ICYMI, ‘Sad Affleck’ is the below video: an interviewer asks Affleck and Henry Cavill about the downright awful reviews, ratings and critiques that BvS had received. Cavill starts amicably chatting away, but Affleck looks into the deep abyss of his soul while Simon & Garfunkel‘s ‘Sound of Silence’ plays in the background.
However, in a strange twist of musical history, the meme has in turn pushed the iconic Simon & Garfunkel hit back into the charts. That’s right, Simon & Garfunkel are currently sitting at #6 on Billboard‘s ‘Hot Rock’ chart
It’s understandable though, because the song obviously topped Billboard’s Hottest 100 chart for two weeks when it was released… in 1966.
