In the wee hours of this morning, El-P – one half of hip hop duo Run the Jewels – uploaded a too-short, too-sweet 15 second clip to Instagram with the hashtag #RTJ3.
Get ready, folks: this is the first morsel we’ve got of the hotly, need-to-get-your-hands-on-it-now third EP from RTJ. It’s a filthy, filthy tease for Run The Jewels 3, following Run The Jewels (2013) and Run The Jewels 2 (2014).
But as the good lords giveth, they goddam take it away. Don’t get your hopes up that RTJ will follow the album-per-year pattern. El-P tweeted immediately after that the album won’t be released till at least 2016.
fyi RTJ3 is almost definitely not coming in 2015. touring all year but every chance we get we are working hard on it.
