Rick Ross On Life Support After Being Found ‘Unresponsive’ In Miami Home

Rapper Rick Ross is reportedly on life support in a Miami hospital, after being found unresponsive at his home in the early hours of Thursday morning.

A 911 dispatch record obtained by Billboard says that Ross was “slobbing from the mouth” and “nodding his head” when discovered, and several attempts were made to wake him up.

Local law enforcement have since confirmed that they responded to a call from the 42-year-old’s home, however, they claim that they were informed of a “combative” patient at the scene.

The Davie Police Department‘s PR officer made a statement saying:

“Fire Rescue 65 [requested police] to step it up, which means need to come faster in reference to a combative patient. Police officers arrived at 3:43 AM and cleared at 3:47 AM. I can speculate that we didn’t get involved. We didn’t write a report on it.”

According to TMZ, “sources close” to Rick Ross say that he is currently in the cardiac unit of a Miami area hospital, and claim that he is on “a machine that’s taking over the function of his heart and lungs” as a form of life support.

Support has come pouring in from Ross’ friends and colleagues, with big music names like Missy ElliottGucci Mane and LL Cool J offering their love and prayers:

According to TMZ’s most recent update, Ross’ family have denied claims he is on life support, but his condition remains unknown.

He has been open about his health problems in the past, and revealed that he suffered two seizures in 2011, after which he found out he was hypertensive.
