Sydney’s soul champion and self-professed D’Angelo tragic, Ray Mann, is abandoning us to tout his wares overseas. But before he does that he’s throwing a big farewell gig at Melt Bar, one of the few places in Kings Cross we still enjoy going to because they make great drinks and have old Motown records plastered to the walls. Ray Mann is worth his salt, he’s toured with the likes of Al Green and Tori Amos and his last bass player was so good that John Butler stole/borrowed him for his own trio. Supported by Cafe Lounge legends Neonhearts DJs, as well as the guys from Twist And Shout, this one will be going late so get some Red Bull in you and get ready to boogie.
