Rashida Jones’ ‘Flip And Rewind’ Music Video Is Pure ’90s R&B Goodness

You miss the ’90s, I miss the ’90s, we all miss the ’90s, but Rashida Jones really misses the ’90s a whole bunch, and that’s what her new track ‘Flip & Rewind‘ is all about.

The throwback R&B song is a collaboration between Jones and her nephew Sunny Levine, who recently released an album under the alias Boss Selection, and it gives us major ’90s nostalgia chills.
The accompanying video, co-directed by Jones and Will McCormack, features nods to TLC and Boyz II Men, and includes a reunion of Jones’ old high school dance crew.
In conversation with McCormack for a recent piece in Rolling Stone, she said:

“The inspiration … was to try to evoke the feeling of the Nineties, but not in a mocking way. I think for you and I both, it’s such an important time musically, emotionally and psychologically. Every part of us formed during the Nineties, and we took all of the quintessential R&B videos from the Nineties and did our best to recreate them.”
Oh Ann Perkins, you beautiful sunflower:
