Rage Against The Machine Might Be Teasing New Shit / Public Enemy Collab

Just in case you didn’t get all of the sweaty, shirtless rap-metal anger out of your body when you were 15 and are still thirsty for more, it could be your luck day.

Fiercely political and occasionally repetitive iconic 90s favourite Rage Against The Machine might be making some a comeback, if this Radiohead-esque series of cryptic hints mean anything.
Non-official-but-tacitly-endorsed Rage Against The Machine fan twitter account @ratm posted a link today to a website called ‘Prophets Of Rage’:

The website has a countdown to June 1st and a field for you to enter your email address for a newsletter. What’s special about June 1st? It’s 2 days before my birthday but I suspect that’s not what they’re counting down to.

Keen observers will note that “Prophets Of Rage” is the name of a Public Enemy song, and, in what surely cannot be a coincidence, Public Enemy’s Chuck D has spent today linking to Rage live videos.

Who knows what the hell any of this means, but hopefully it makes a bigger impact than Rage frontman Zach de la Rocha‘s extremely short-lived side project One Day As A Lion.
Sign up for that newsletter I guess hey.
