Radiohead Have Launched A ‘King Of Limbs’ Inspired App Called ‘PolyFauna’

With characteristic soft-spoken brevity in a post written on Radiohead’s blog, frontman Thom Yorke has unveiled PolyFauna, an app inspired by the band’s 2011 album King of Limbs. PolyFauna is pitched as “an experimental collaboration” with digital design studio Universal Everything; users of the app are advised by Yorke to “look around, follow the red dot and wear headphones” as they navigate “an evolving world” populated by “the imagined creatures of our subconscious”. Très Radiohead:

We have made an app called PolyFauna.

PolyFauna is an experimental collaboration between us (Radiohead) & Universal Everything, born out of The King of Limbs sessions and using the imagery and the sounds from the song ‘Bloom’.

It comes from an interest in early computer life-experiments and the imagined creatures of our subconscious.

Your screen is the window into an evolving world.
Move around to look around.
You can follow the red dot.
You can wear headphones.

You can download PolyFauna for free on iOS or Android.
