The Shins are back with a single that’s so inherently Shins-ish it’s the audio equivalent of your favourite pair of jeans: familiar, reliable and super comfortable. Wow, did I just use a terrible hackneyed metaphor in reference to an indie rock song?! I sure did! Here is the music video for the erstwhile single “Simple Song”. It’s the first off coming release Port of Morrow, which marks the first album since the band’s major personnel reshuffle. In a way “Simple Song” represents The Shins’ resurrection as a new band, which is something they play on in the video.
