Jack Ladder has amazing cheekbones. That’s the lasting impression you get from the video for ‘Cold Feet’, the first single from Ladder’s upcoming sophomore record, Hurtsville. The stark black and white clip sees Ladder and Sydney model Hayley Magnus getting smarmy with each other in some unspecified Australian suburb. She cries a lot, he simmers and pouts like the absolute sex god that he undeniably is, and everyone goes home happy (not really.)
Hurtsville was recorded over 6 months in 2010 with time split between a castle in Yass and a wooden lodge on a farm in Windsor. Ladder’s new house band, The Dreamlanders, also features the cream of Australian indie talent, including former Mercy Arms guitarist Kirin J Calinan, PVT drummer Laurence Pike and Triosk’s Donny Benét .
