If there’s one thing we, the masses, love, it’s celebrity beef – and if there’s one thing Christina Aguilera and Pink have in spades, it’s beef.
Oh, did I say “have”? I meant “had”. They’re all good now. They’re totally fine.
They’re so fine, in fact, that Pink has deemed it necessary to step in and put an end to a pernicious rumour that she was scrunching her face up in pain during Aguilera’s tribute to Whitney Houston at the American Music Awards.
This is what Xtina‘s performance sounded like:

And this is what Pink’s face looked like during that performance:

Fans were pretty quick to take notice.

Someday I want Pink! to look at me the way she’s looking at Christina #AMAs

But apparently we were all too hasty – much, much too hasty. The beef is done. There’s no reason for Pink to be publicly cringing in Christina’s direction.
.@Pink and @Xtina deaded their beef last year and have been FRIENDS since, respecting each other’s amazing talent as grown women. stop creating something out of nothing @TheShadyFacts

And Pink herself has waded in, saying that she was, in fact, overcome by emotion during the show.
Yes. THIS. Christina fucking killed it tonight for one of our favorite singers ever. This about Whitney, and I am in awe of Christina’s talent. Show the clip where I’m in tears, you negative Nancy’s 🤘🏽✌🏼❤️ https://t.co/5Lroq73xrQ
— P!nk (@Pink) November 20, 2017
Negative Nancys! Strong words, Pink. Strong words that a bunch of people really, really loved.
Yessss Queen. Call that shit out. I’m sick of fighting with Xtina fans and the negativity. Why are we constantly pitting women against each other

Shame on the show for putting you on the spot every 30 seconds during her performance too. Unnecessary!

There you go! No grimacing, no beef-resurrection, just famous ladies supporting famous ladies in the middle of a tribute to another, super-famous lady. And after all, isn’t that what the entertainment industry is all about?
