Fall Out Boy bassist and bloke approaching 40 Pete Wentz has welcomed a brand new child into the world, bestowing upon the blessed little bundle of joy a name plucked straight from the Marvel Comics universe.
Wentz and longtime partner Meagan Camper, 29, had themselves a daughter over the weekend, with her name believed to have been taken from the latest addition to the Avengers pantheon: Captain Marvel.
The kid’s name?
Marvel.
Marvel Jane Wentz.
There you go.
The happy family confirmed the news on Instagram a short time ago.
Cute little mates.
On the scale of Wentz Family Child Names, Marvel Jane sits very much below her older brothers Bronx Mowgli (whom Pete had with former partner Ashlee Simpson) and Saint Laszlo, born in late 2014.
Still, it doesn’t hold a candle to Jason Lee‘s son Pilot Inspektor, the patron saint of unusual celebrity baby names.
Sure, you might wince and furrow your brow and think to yourself “why is this important? Why is this news? Why did someone take time out of their day to write about this?” But five years from now, when you’re slamming the name “Marvel Jane Wentz” down on a pub trivia form to correctly answer the question that pushes your team over the line, winning a $50 bar tab in the process, you’ll thank me.
